Another Oceania Games Gold

Zach Holdsworth continued his fine form running the final leg of the Australian 4 x 100 metre Open Mens relay. The team ran a very fast 39.36s to win Gold and also set a new Oceania Games record. Congratulations to Zach and your Australian team mates - Jake Doran, Alex Hartmann and Jack Hale. 

 

Tomysha Clark smashes Oceania U18 Long Jump record

Congratulations to Tomysha for an outstanding winning performance in the Oceania Championships in Townsville.

Tomysha smashed the Oceania U18 Long Jump record with a 6.20m jump. The previous record was 5.87m. She took the gold medal in her last jump.

As an aside, with her winning jump, she would have won the U20 event AND broken the U20 record. The U20 record was 5.98m but now stands at 6.02m after today's event.

Well done Tomysha.

 

Abbie Taddeo in Europe

Abbie is in Europe preparing for the World University Games. On the weekend of 22 and 23 June she ran in two 100 metre Hurdle races in Belgium. Abbie won both races in times of 13.52 sec and 13.56 sec. Congratulations to Abbie.

 

Illawong athlete wins Gold at the Oceania Games

The Oceania Games are being held in Townsville, Queensland. On the first day of competition Charlotte O'Brien won the Under 18 Womens High Jump. Charlotte cleared 1.71 metres. Congratulations to Charlotte on winning a gold medal while representing Australia.

 

We think this is the end of the NSW CC Champs medals ;-)

Belinda Martin - Gold in the Women 45-50 10km
Robyn Basman - Gold in the Women 60-64 6km
Karen Stanley - Silver in the Women 55-59 6km

Even more gold! Annes Weekes wins 5km walk

Congratulations to Anne Weekes won a gold medal at the NSW Roads Walk in the 5km Master Category. These walks were held at Chipping Norton.
 
Anne has been having a great year and we wish her well in her upcoming events.
 

More gold! Ellie DeCelis shines in the U16 NSW Road Walks Championships

Today, Ellie DeCelis earned a Gold Medal by coming 1st in the U16 NSW Road Walks Championships at Chipping Norton. Great work and congratulations Ellie. You're having a wonderful year.

 

NSW Cross Country Championship and Yala Rd results

Congratulations to Alexia Kalamvokis, Belinda Martin and Jerome Etteridge, on their outstanding performances at the NSW Cross Country Championships. Alexia won a gold medal in the U16 Female 4km event. Belinda received silver as the second NSW athlete across the line in the Open Female 10km event. Jerome also received silver in the Male 3km Para event. Fantastic efforts guys.

Thank you to everyone who travelled to Nowra to compete in the championships, and also to those who took on the tough Yala Road course. We hope you all enjoyed it.

As this was a championship weekend with lots of people competing in different distance, everyone gets 15 points this week. The results follow.
