World Youth Qualifier set at Campbelltown

Round two of the Club Premiership brought a number of things. There was a good (if not great) roll out of Illawong athletes. There were the four seasons in the course of four hours and most importantly there a World Youth Championship qualfying time achieved.

At the Annual Menai District Sports Awards held last Saturday evening at Club Menai, Illawong athletes were out in force and were duly rewarded with a number of awards during the night.

"Heartbreak Ridge" proves too much for other clubs

The first round of the Club Premiership was held at The Ridge and Narrabeen last weekend. Once again "The Ridge" caused heart break to the teams, including Trinity, Bankstown, St George and Campbelltown that ventured to take on Illawong in cold and extremely windy conditions.

NSW All Schools Wrap

Last weekend saw the NSW All Schools Championships held at SOPAC.

Once again many of our club's best junior athletes demonstrated the strength in the Illawong ranks.

It augurs well for the upcoming rounds of the Club Premiership, the State Relays and the Club Championship to be held in February 2011.

There were many highlights and personal bests achieved during the carnival.
